About our special guest, Dr Daniel Lantsberg:
Daniel is a consultant gynaecologist specialising in fertility, reproductive endocrinology and fertility preservation. His special interests are elective egg freezing, age-related infertility, unexplained infertility, male infertility, fertility preservation, PCOS, endometriosis and fibroids. He has also been appointed Clinical Director of The Fertility Centre Werribee.
Daniel has private rooms in East Melbourne and holds a public appointment as a fertility specialist at the Reproductive Services Unit at The Royal Women’s Hospital, where he is training junior doctors in their own fertility subspecialty training. Daniel also holds a Senior Lecturer appointment at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Melbourne.

Megan Hickey is a bariatric Dietitian part of the Melbourne Weight Loss Solutions (MWLS) team and passionate about working with clients to provide personalised nutrition support. She believes in implementing sustainable lifestyle changes and focuses on improving food knowledge and practical skills to achieve your health goals. She hosts live sessions fortnightly to further educate and inspire our surgical clients and the broader weight loss surgery community.
A/Prof. Michael Hii is an Oesophago-Gastric and Bariatric (weight loss) surgeon and MWLS Director. He works as a consultant at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne, St Vincent’s Private Hospital and Epworth Healthcare. He is the deputy director of the Hepatobiliary and Upper GI unit at St Vincent’s Hospital and the Pre-SET supervisor. He is a senior lecturer at the University of Melbourne. and is the chairperson of the St Vincent’s Upper GI and Hepatobiliary research group and has published widely in Upper GI and bariatric literature.
Michael is a founding member and current chairperson of The HOPE Fund, a charity established in 2018 to support better care and better outcomes for hepatobiliary and upper gastrointestinal patients. He is a clinical senior fellow at the University of Melbourne and
