“Very professional service from the team, while remaining warm and welcoming. Jennifer was excellent. Explained the full body scan (state of the art machine), results and advice on where improvements can be made. Look forward to next scan in three months. Can't recommend highly enough - what ever stage you're at in your journey.”

"I can’t recommend this team enough. The support was amazing, from the 15 months prior to surgery when I first started considering this option, to the (currently) 11 months post where I still have peace of mind knowing I can reach out and ask anything and get a prompt reply. It’s truly changed my life for the better. It’s an aide to help you achieve your goals, and you have to do the rest, but you’re not alone. I’ve spoken to a lot of other people and their experiences and they didn’t get as much support before during and after as me, so I know I made the right choice for such a big life decision. THANK YOU x"

"At the 12month stage and the experience has been fantastic. 40kg in weight loss but the whole process from the initial consult, the surgery and the post surgery has been exceptional. the post surgery followups with the nurse and dietician has been a great support. if you're considering weight loss surgery you MUST seriously consider melbourne weight loss surgery"

"Full body weight/composition scan using the latest technology. % fat, % muscle, visceral fat etc and much more accurate than my smart scales. Great service, good explanation of the results. Definitely recommend and will be back in 3 months to measure progress. 💪"

"Great support. I feel I was right to choose this team. I have lost 30kg so far, but I’ve gained my chin and neck back and heaps more energy and enthusiasm for life. I feel like I’m only half way there, though.its definitively a journey."

"Exceptional team who take the time to ensure you are educated, prepared and supported throughout the whole process. Dr Nicole Winter and her team are kind, caring and encouraging. I felt so prepared and supported and would 100% recommend. Best decision I made was choosing Dr Winter and her team. Thank you!"

There are different types of weight loss surgery.
The best option for you depends on your health, weight loss goals, and medical history.
In your initial consultation, our surgeons can help guide you through your options and recommend the best choice for your situation.
Weight Loss Surgery Types
-
A portion of the outer part of the stomach is surgically removed, leaving behind a banana-shaped pouch.
-
The top part of the stomach is reformed into a small pouch and joined to the middle part of the intestine, ‘bypassing’ the first part of the intestine. This type is called a Roux-En-Y Gastric Bypass [RYGB].
-
Converting an existing weight loss surgery to a new one. Most often converting a gastric band to a gastric bypass.
-
The top part of the stomach is reformed into a small tube and joined to the middle part of the intestine, ‘bypassing’ a greater portion of the intestine than a Roux-En-Y. This type is called a One-Anastamosis Gastric Bypass, but sometimes referred to as a Mini-Byoass.
